The Proposal Report for the Torre de Hércules Art Center is an initiative that originated in the early 2000s and was presented in mid-2004 to the City Council of A Coruña.

Elaborated as a proposal for the future, what we can best say about it is that, today, almost 20 years later, most of its approach is still valid, at least for the people who promoted it and gave it their support.

It is for this reason that we include it in this web site, because we think that it can be useful for both the monument and the city.

The report consists of an explanatory report of the intended objectives and three examples of how it could be carried out.

It also includes a proposal for the building that would be the center of the project’s activities and two technical studies: an economic feasibility study and a study of the building’s maintenance.

In order to facilitate reading and understanding, we have updated some parts of the text, although we have respected the original text in its essentials, as well as the graphic section..

For the same reason of agility, we have not included the technical studies, although we have them available for those who would justifiably like to know them.

During the elaboration process, most of the people involved, mainly qualified professionals, made contributions that were consequently taken into account before the final version.
